NVIDIA expands Isaac with a reference humanoid

On 21 October 2026, at GTC Berlin, NVIDIA announced an expansion of its Isaac robotics platform: Agile ONE SN from Agile Robots, a reference humanoid built on the Isaac GR00T models and the Jetson Thor computer and scheduled for early 2027; Isaac Lab 3.0, an open-source robot-learning framework said to be generally available from that day; Isaac OS, an open-source real-time runtime; and two collections on Hugging Face, more than 2,000 simulation-ready assets and the Human 1M dataset of human activity.

Why it matters

NVIDIA is assembling a path from data to a robot out of its robotics software: simulation assets, data on human activity, a training framework, a runtime and, from 2027, a research humanoid that carries them. The software side can be used now; the humanoid is a plan, and the page gives no price and no measure of what it can do.

What the release says. Agile ONE SN: an Agile ONE S body 1.40 m tall and 40 kg, 31 degrees of freedom, a 3 kg payload per arm; two WUJI Hand 2 hands of 20 degrees of freedom each, with 1 kHz force control and tactile sensing; Jetson Thor with 2,070 FP4 teraflops and 128 GB of memory; integration with the Halos safety system is "planned"; "scheduled to be available in early 2027", with interest from Stanford and ETH Zurich. The claim that the platform cuts setup time "from weeks to days" is the maker's. Isaac Lab 3.0 "is now generally available" (open source, multi-GPU, Newton and PhysX engines). Isaac OS is an open-source runtime framework built on Holoscan; the page names no release day. The SimReady Central Library (more than 2,000 assets) and the Human 1M Dataset (three-view video and 3D hand tracking) are "available on Hugging Face"; the full Human 1M dataset goes to Cosmos Coalition partners. Three open-source reference workflows for DGX Station refine GR00T 1.7 with reinforcement learning, train dexterous skills in Isaac Lab and post-train Cosmos "using ChatGPT Astra". The release also names ABB Robotics, KUKA, Sereact, Humanoid, Hexagon Robotics and other European partners. What the record does not claim. The humanoid has not shipped; the page has no price, no volume and no test results. The models, datasets and framework were not downloaded or checked. This is the company's own release.
