World Labs raises a billion dollars
On 18 February 2026 World Labs announced it had raised $1 billion in new funding; the investors include AMD, Autodesk, Emerson Collective, Fidelity, NVIDIA and Sea.
Why it matters
A spatial-intelligence lab whose first product, in its own words, is Marble got a billion dollars. An editorial assessment: the sum was stated by the company and confirmed by Reuters; the company gave no valuation.
The four-sentence post names the sum and the investors, “among others”, without a valuation, a breakdown or a use of funds. Reuters the same day: Autodesk put in $200 million and will be an adviser (by Autodesk’s statement); the company did not disclose a valuation; by a Bloomberg report of January, talks were at a valuation of about $5 billion (relayed by Reuters, not confirmed by the company); in September 2024 it raised $230 million. What the record does not state. No valuation, no split between investors, no round name. Two of the investors, the accelerator makers AMD and NVIDIA, stand side by side here; the link to AMD’s later agreement is chronological, not causal.
