NVIDIA: eighty-nine billion in a quarter from data centres
For the quarter ended 26 July 2026, NVIDIA's revenue was $96.2 billion, of which $89.0 billion came from data centres, up 117 per cent year over year.
Why it matters
The scale of AI infrastructure spending became visible for the first time as a quarterly number in filed accounts, rather than as an announced investment pledge.
Second quarter fiscal 2027 results were announced on 26 August 2026. The quarter ended on 26 July 2026. Total revenue was $96,221 million, up 106 per cent year over year, and Data Center revenue was $89,023 million, up 117 per cent. Both figures are records. Founder and chief executive Jensen Huang said: "AI has reached its inflection point. It's doing useful work. Its tokens are productive and profitable. Now, compute is revenue", adding that demand is accelerating as multiple frontier labs scale in parallel. For comparison, full fiscal 2026 revenue was $215.9 billion, of which $193.7 billion came from data centres.
