The SIGGRAPH 2026 technical papers awards
ACM SIGGRAPH named five best papers out of more than 1,120 submissions; two of the five are about generative models rather than classical rendering or simulation.

Five Best Papers from more than 1,120 submissions: GimmBO: Interactive Generative Image Model Merging via Bayesian Optimization by Chenxi Liu, Selena Ling and Alec Jacobson; Mixwell: Sharp 2D Fluid Brushes for Progressive Physics-Based Mixing by Doug James and Ethan James; Walk on Decomposed Subdomains: A Hybrid Monte Carlo-Deterministic Solver for Elliptic PDEs by Clement Jambon, Mohammad Sina Nabizadeh and Mina Konakovic Lukovic; Robust Planar Maps for 3D Vectorization by Robert Fuchs and Keenan Crane; and Inverse Rendering for Discrete X-Ray Computed Tomography by Lovro Nuic, Ziyi Zhang, Korbinian Sager and Wenzel Jakob. The Test-of-Time awards include A Deep Learning Framework for Character Motion Synthesis and Editing from 2016, by Daniel Holden, Jun Saito and Taku Komura.
