The third portion

After the second portion 28 of 848 records were left without a primary source. The 6-in-1 handed over a card for twenty of them, all from before 2026. All twenty were found: 56 new sources, each one read. 8 records are now without a primary source, all from 2026, and they get a pass of their own.

This time the document confirmed no text in full. Every statement that was rewritten was first checked against a verbatim excerpt of the saved document, and the excerpt against the document itself.

Early machines

The transactions of the first five Macy conferences did not fail to survive: they were never printed, the foundation itself says. The days of 8 and 9 March 1946 come only from later historians, so the record keeps the month. The SNARC, by the footnote in Minsky’s thesis, was built in the summer of 1951 under a US Air Force contract, not with Navy money; a shared shaft turned the weights through magnetic clutches, and the forty neurons are only in a later recollection. Unimate had an encoder on every axis and waited for external signals, so “no sensors at all” is wrong; what is right is that it saw nothing. The press of the time names neither the plant nor the year of installation. Werbos in his 1974 thesis calls the method “dynamic feedback”, not error propagation, and applies it to statistical models.

Kyiv

The statute of the Institute of Cybernetics names both resolutions under which it was created: the Council of Ministers of the Ukrainian SSR’s of 23 December 1961 and the Academy Presidium’s of 11 May 1962. The record is now dated to that day. The list of early artificial intelligence lines the institute’s site places in the Computing Centre before it. Glushkov’s book was read in the Kyiv original of 1964: a print run of 15,000, signed to press on 7 December 1963. The Academic Press book turned out not to be a second edition but a second, separate translation.

Speech

The Federation of the Blind was not part of Kurzweil’s machine “from the start”: Kurzweil first showed it to the Federation on 8 April 1975. The day of the demonstration, 13 January 1976, now has a contemporaneous record: the CBS Evening News segment of that evening. The DECtalk DTC01 manual lists the voices Frail Frank, Rough Rita and Uppity Ursula, and no Whispering Wendy. Dragon Systems had four founders, not only the Bakers; DragonDictate was no consumer package but a $9,000 card for a 386 computer.

Markets

SEC EDGAR does not answer a request without a contact address, so no company filing from EDGAR was read. Prices and percentages now come from Nasdaq’s exchange data, and market values are given as the press’s estimate. “589 billion” is Yahoo Finance’s figure, CNBC wrote close to 600, so the record’s title no longer carries it. NVIDIA passed four trillion only during trading and closed the day at 3.97 trillion.

Robots and cars

BMW’s spokesperson spoke of one robot in off-hours only until March; after that the same robot moved to the live line, and later BMW itself confirmed more than 30,000 X3 with Figure 02 taking part. The Beijing half-marathon had twenty teams, not 21 robots, six finished, and no organiser’s document mentions a fall by the winner. Tesla began taking the monitor out of customer rides in January 2026, not December. Waymo did not promise 65 miles an hour: that is an example its manager gave NBC.

What is left

The 1962 Presidium resolution itself, Minsky and Edmonds’s report of 8 January 1952, Pippine’s overview of Learning Locomotion (paywalled) and the NVIDIA, Tesla and Lernout & Hauspie filings on EDGAR were not read. They go on the card of the unreachable.
