On 13 October 2026 the Ministry of Digital Transformation announced enrolment for the second wave of the free UN Women AI School, run by UN Women, AI HOUSE and the ministry. Training runs from 3 to 29 November, registration until 3 November. The first wave, in May-June 2026, had 662 participants.
Why it matters
An example of state-and-partner training in basic AI skills for adult women across Ukraine: prompts, images, automation, agents. The first-wave figures are the organisers' own account with no survey method.
What the page says. The second wave: an introductory online meeting and six Zoom sessions of 90 minutes on Tuesday and Thursday evenings; the 40 most active participants will be invited to two in-person Applied AI Labs sessions; certificates follow a final test. The course teaches working with AI (prompts), creating images, automating tasks, building AI assistants and agents, and using the technology safely. The first wave (May-June 2026): 662 participants, over 200 completed the full course and got certificates; 74% reported better knowledge of AI, 80% had already applied the skills at work. The school runs within the third phase of the "EU for Gender Equality" programme funded by the European Union; the programme is implemented by UN Women, UNFPA, the Ministry of Digital Transformation and AI HOUSE. What the record does not claim: how many places the second wave has; which AI tools are taught; how 74% and 80% were measured and on what base (all 662 or those who finished). The page does not say exactly when the first wave began.
