One platform for AI communities
On 24 July 2026 the Ministry of Digital Transformation, with AI HOUSE, announced the start of the first stage of a single national platform for AI communities: applications from organisations for an open register. By the end of the year the team plans to check and add at least 20-30 leading market players to the register.
Why it matters
The state takes on the role of organiser of the field's community, not only user of AI: one point of entry in place of scattered communities, centres and hubs. It is a statement of intent and of a first stage; there is no working register or list of participants in the text.
What the page says. The platform, built on a website, will hold in one place an interactive map of organisations with instructions on how to join, a shared calendar of events, meetups and hackathons, statistics on the ecosystem's development and a regular news mailing. The project is built in partnership with AI HOUSE: the ministry provides the venue for scaling, AI HOUSE the expertise and network. Technical and adjacent communities, educational initiatives, research centres, regional hubs and industry associations are invited to apply. As the state's earlier experience the text names Diia.AIContest, the AI/GovTech Hackathon, the summit "The AI State: Government Tech with Startups" and the approved recommendations on responsible use of AI. What the record does not claim: that the register is already running or how many applications have come in (the text does not say); the address of the platform; a budget; that 20-30 players will in fact be added, which is a plan for the end of 2026.
